Hmm... I don't think so...

It's great to show an illustrated "how to", but....
I can't see it happening. First, I don't think kids collect and/or trade cards anymore.
Second, I certainly don't think they "flip" cards anymore either.

You might think i pulled out an old Tuff Stuff from the early '80's or something.... but no, it's from a brand new magazine. The February issue of The Wantlist.

Anybody want to bring some of their cards over for a game?

It's like caps only less messy... Whoever comes up short or hits the wall has to take a drink.

These magazines all seem to be written by sports card collectors who think the world stopped moving in the early 90s. It's odd.

Hmm like "quarters" but with cards. When I was a kid (late elementary school to jr. high) I had a friend I used to play a similar trading "flipping" game with. We didn't use a wall what we did was had a designated area on the floor and we would sit a decent distance away then we would each put about 5-10 cards on the "field" (I'm not sure about that starting bit or how many cards, maybe we just started with the field clear). The goal was to take turns tossing cards onto the playing area and if it landed on another card we got to keep both cards if at least 50% of the card was covered. My friend was better at the game or cheated a few times. I recall having some disagreements about if a card was covered enough and then giving in to his side. I also think a reason it got lopsided fast is I think we had a rule that if you did get a card you kept going until you "missed" (like in pool). I lost a lot of my 1975 baseball cards that way. Of course I also got rid of lots of doubles and unwanted cards that way also.

Hell yes! We also played a variation of this: You lay your card flat against the wall and let it slide down. You continue with additional cards until your card touches another card -- then you take everything your card is touching, Love this!
