What Really Grinds My Gears...

 I've ranted on this topic before. Twice actually. Over a year ago... maybe two now that I think of it. But you see, nothing has changed. In fact, it's gotten worse. Why do idiot commisioners insist on wearing rose coloured glasses, and eating scented pellets so their crap don't stink when it's obvious that there are serious problems in their sport?
In case you're still wondering what the hell Canuck is blathering about now, I'm speaking of Bud Selig and the Florida Marlins.
In their game against Cincinnati yesterday, there were 347 fans in attendance. That's not a typo. Three hundred and fourty seven.

 Apparently the Marlins closed down the top two decks earlier this season.

 My local Calgary Vipers get a bigger turnout than this. Foul balls for everyone!!!

Sweet jesus Bud, wake up and smell the contraction. The game will be better for it. The quality of play will increase. And the fans will be happier.
Oh wait, none of that matters to you does it?

Petty, insecure, classless...

No, I'm not talking about Dan Snyder and the Washington Redskins.... I'm talking about the best basketball player of our generation. Michael Jordan. He was inducted into the basketball Hall of Fame over the weekend.
At a time when all athletes pause, reflect, and humbly give thanks for enshrinment into their sports highest honour, we see Michael show his true colours to the general public.
Long known in basketball circles for being self centered, petty, he showed the public a little taste.
Well done sir. Way to show all those kids who spent the money from their dad's second job on Air Nikes trying desperatley to Be Like Mike, what a real hero you are. I hope not too many fans were watching. Maybe some of them still think you are great.
I know most don't. You are pathetic sir. Good day.

Florida Marlin fans suck.

You in Arkansas, and you in Iowa, I'm not talking about you. Just you in Miami. Yes, You.
Here is a picture taken DURING the game between Atlanta and the Marlins this past week. No rain delay, no makeup game, it's like this. Game after game.
What the HELL is gooing on? Was there a hurricane warning that I didn't know about? Did umpire Bill Hohn threaten to let children comb out his moustache?
For two years all I heard about was how pathetic the Montreal Expos were. The team MUST be taken away. Even they had more fans show up than this.
Atlanta is in the top three for drawn attendance on the road. Apparently south Florida didn't get that memo.
Why aren't there news stories about this like the Expos? This should be front page news. MLB should be holding meetings on where the Marlins will be moved next season. And no. Puerto Rico is not acceptable.
Fans in Oklahoma, Portland, and Pittsburgh are begging for a team. You have one, and this is what you do.
Pathetic. Feel shame... unless you were at the game, feel shame.
