Did you see?

There was a case break of 2007 Sweet Spot Baseball AND Football late last night over at I Am Joe Collector.

Jeff is having more and more of these breaks and always does a really good job of them. I sat out this one, as I am saving my extra cash for some new releases coming out in the next couple of weeks.
Check out the videos here and here.

IMO the football one had far better results than the baseball case.... but that usually happens. Football normally will have a better chance of getting bigger hits, simply because of a smaller checklist.

What do you think of case breaks like this? Fun? Risky?

Fun and risky. I had two slots in the baseball break. I was hoping for a Hamilton, but let's face it - the odds are long on getting the card you want on any break. I ended up with a sweet looking Adam Dunn card, and maybe a few other cards I missed.

Its a gamble, but it does give you the chance to dabble in a product you might not otherwise break. I don't do it often, but it was fun.

I ended up with some nice cards and have done well in the SCU breaks. The key is finding a break that doesn't cost that much to get into but has the potential for some big hits. Sweet spot does have that, and some good cards were pulled, but some people inevitably get skunked.
