Interestingly enough, Jefferson is the first and only ex-Pres to have the nickname Butch. That would have been disputable if Hillary Clinton got the demo nomination over Obama, but that's one for Wikipedia history now.

Easy answer: Same birthday. Unfortunately, I'm not creative enough (or perhaps awake enough!) to come up with a more creative answer...
